Hi I’m Amelia, an Illustrator and Printmaker based in Newcastle upon Tyne.
Growing up I was lucky to be surrounded by coastline and countryside which is where much of my inspiration comes from. I've always been drawn to landscapes and discovered how much of an influence travel has in my practice during the MA Children’s Book Illustration, exploring new places through my sketchbooks. I love how sketches hold memory, taking you back to a different place and time in your life. With this, sense of place is a big part of my process, incorporating personality and memories to build stories.
After graduating with a first class honours in Illustration, I moved to Cambridge to study the MA Children’s Book Illustration at Cambridge School of Art where my passion for storytelling developed.
Lets work together!
